Guidelines for Accepting Paid Advertising
As a method for reducing reliance on tax support, it is appropriate for the parks and recreation department to accept advertising within the guidelines listed below.
Accepted advertisements:
- Shall not, as primary focus of the ad, promote the use of tobacco, alcohol, illegal drugs, or sale of firearms.
- Shall not promote any political issue or candidate.
- Shall not promote a religion or a religious cause.
- Shall be free from discrimination based on gender, race, color, religion, age, political affiliation, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, and source of income or any other type of discrimination prohibited by law or policy.
- Shall be free of obscenity.
- Shall be attractively and tastefully presented for written publications.
- Shall not dominate in size or number of pages for written publications.
The Lincoln County Parks & Recreation Department reserves the right to decline or remove any advertisement for any reason.
